Gordon Hollenga embodies one of Hamburg's biggest dancefloor export hits: Together with his partner Raphael Krickow, he forms The Disco Boys, synonymous with infectious feel-good club sounds ranging from disco, house, electro, pop, and techno, whose sound thrills crowds both nationally and internationally. In addition to the best-selling compilation “The Disco Boys,” the duo has released a slew of anthems, most notably “For You,” which went platinum after 94 weeks on the charts and can rightly be called a “long-running hit,” the Mimi Perez collaboration “Life Is Always New,” and “Heartbreaker,” which conquered the Beatport charts in the Crazibiza remix. For example, the duo produced remixes for the eccentric funk genius Bootsy Collins, the Danish chanteuse Aura Dione, the German pop divas Rosenstolz, and the legendary punk/new wave band Martha & The Muffins; very different artists, in other words, which suggests that the boys have a broad musical interest, often favoring the bizarre and offbeat over the mainstream. And that's exactly how it is.
